John Schwartz, President & CEO

John entered the industry with Sam Clar Office Furniture in 1991. From 1992 to 1995, John worked in various areas of the organization, focusing on operations, as well as working in marketing and advertising, vendor relations, and finance. John took over as President of Sam Clar in 1996, and is the 4th generation of the Clar family to manage the business. 
 
In 1997, John was founding principal and CEO of Insource Inc., a full service contract furniture dealership, and subsidiary of Sam Clar Office Furniture. Insource was based in San Francisco, and served the Bay Area architect and design community. In 2003, Insource's sales and  operations were merged into Sam Clar Office Furniture, as the Sam Clar Commercial Services Group (CSG) division.
 

Dan Peters | Director of Inside Sales & Rental

Dan joined the sales staff of Sam Clar in 1995. Dan worked in various sales and management positions from 1995 to 2005. In 2006, Dan became the Director of Inside Sales, with responsibilities for store operations and sales, as well as our Rental Division.


Terry McGuinness | Senior Account Executive

Terry has over 20 years of sales and account management experience in the contract furniture industry, both on the dealer side and the manufacturer side. Throughout her career, Terry has worked with companies ranging from mid sized regional organizations to name brand Fortune 500 corporations.


Joel Medina | Account Executive

Joel joined Sam Clar in 2002. Joel focuses his efforts on providing creative solutions for small to medium size organizations.


Brian Flores | Customer Service & Dispatch

Brian joined Sam Clar in 1997. Brian heads up the Customer Service and logistics department, and works on resolving service issues and scheduling and coordinating deliveries.


Andy Armosino | Senior Account Manager

Andy started with Sam Clar Office Furniture in 1987. Andy worked in several capacities, including salesperson,and showroom manager.

Andy left Sam Clar in 2000, ultimately rejoining later in that same year, as a Senior Account Executive within the CSG division. 
Andy specializes in working with clients who have multiple regional or national facilities.


Rachel Leaverton | Marketing, LEED AP

Rache joined CSG in 2007 as a marketing and furniture applications specialist. Rachel focuses on educating the
Achitect and Interior Design community, as well as Post Secondary Educational users, on the latest product innovations,
applcations, and workplace trends, relating to contract office furniture.
 
Rachel has over 10 years of varied industry experience, having worked extensively with large corporate users on both the
furniture dealer side, and the furniture manufacturer side.

Gary Fiammengo | Business Development

Since 1991, Gary has worked in the contract office furniture industry at the dealership level. During his career Gary has worked throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area, with clients ranging from fast growing start ups, to Fortune 500 Corporations.
 
Gary joined CSG in late 2002, and focuses on Marketing and New Business Development.


 

 

Travis Setterbo | Business Development

Travis joined Sam Clar's CSG Division in 2018. Prior to joining Sam Clar, Travis spent 10 years in the hospitality industry, working in various capacities including marketing and sales.

 

Kristi Shanahan | Business Development

Kristi brings 16 years of education sector expereince to Sam Clar. Kristi specializes in understanding the rapidly changing trends in classroom and campus design, and understands the unique requirements in working with our K-12 and Post-Secondary education clients.


Brandy Wilson | Design Director

Brandy joined CSG as a Designer in 2006. During her tenure at CSG, Brandy has worked on projects ranging from small startups, to Fortune 500 Headquarters. Brandy holds a degree in Interior Design from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), San Francisco.

Nicole Beadle | Senior Designer

Nicole joined the CSG design staff in 2010.  Prior to CSG, Nicole worked as a commercial designer in the contract furniture industry.
 
Nicole holds a degree in Interior Design from California State University, Sacramento.

 


Michael Soares | Senior Designer

Michael joined the CSG design staff as a Senior Designer in 2014.  Michael brings over 15 years of contract furniture design and planning experience to our team.
 
Michael holds a degree in technical illustration.
 
 
   

Paul Young | Operations Manager

Paul joined the Sam Clar organization in 1997 in an operations capacity. In June of 2006, Paul transitioned to his current role
as Operations Manager, overseeing all Corporate Operations. 
 
Paul graduated from California State University, East Bay with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Paul has
received full installation Certification from Allsteel Inc., on their various worstation product lines. 
 

Randy Johnson | Project Coordinator

Randy joined the Sam Clar organization in 2016 as Project Coordinator. Prior to joining Sam Clar, Randy was a  production coordinator with Bio-Marin and Fisher Scientific.
 
Randy attended California State University, San Francisco, focusing on classic literature and ancient cultures.
